50 years on and Wayne Wong is still up to his old tricks.

It was a photo that defined his style, creativity, and passion. And now, 50 years on from the original shot, we have been out with freestyle ski legend Wayne Wong to recreate that iconic image for the Wayne Wong Special Edition Ski Aviators.

Even at 71, he is still out demonstrating his unrivalled passion for skiing and the incredible technical ability that helped bring him acclaim as a legend of freestyle skiing.

Skiing Magazine's 1972 Freestyler of the Year, he was featured on the cover in celebration of his hotdogging style and his love of skiing the ‘Wong Way’.

There is real substance behind the style, and Wong is true student of gear design and the science behind it, whilst also finding the time to impart his wisdom to Olympic hopefuls.

Fans of all ages were inspired by his fearless spirit, creativity and an overriding passion for expressing himself on the slopes; it wasn’t just his hotdogging that caught the eye and it is no surprise that even today his legacy still thrives through his tricks as well as his style.
